On the 3 March 2011, Queensland designers Leina Broughton, Mary Evans will join Lindsay Bennett and Sacha Alagich in heading up a fashion show called Launch My Label – A Fashion Forum, encouraging emerging designers with their stories of success to enter the Queensland Fashion Industry.

Launch My Label – A Fashion Forum is presented by f.rock fashion, Australia’s largest online designer network for new and emerging fashion designers and will be held at Mirra Private Dining & Events in Fortitude Valley at 6.30pm.

Helen Sattler, founder and creator of f.rock fashion will be MC and believes that this event will provide the inspiration for budding designers to take the next step in launching their own labels.

“Launch My Label – A Fashion Forum is an opportunity for budding and emerging designers, TAFE Students, creative people and even existing designers that have hit a wall, to come together and hear inspirational stories,” said Helen Sattler.

“These stories will outline the designers rise to Fashion Designer status, tips and advice, and words of encouragement that will motivate the audience to not give up on your dreams.”

The event is an avenue for the Speakers to discuss the significant elements of becoming designers as well as becoming business people.

Lindsay Bennett, the man behind the very successful Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival is one of the key speakers at the event and will be speaking about marketing and PR as a key component to launching a successful fashion label.

All profits/money raised from the event will be donated to The Amira Project a locally run charity that helps women at risk.
